1052 houses were damaged on the line of demarcation in Donbas in 2017.
At the same time, more than 30 houses were completely destroyed to the foundation, says the annual report of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. The report was provided to the NA "Vchasno" by People's Deputy Natalya Veselova.
According to the document, in 56% of the houses, windows were broken and a roof was destroyed partially, in 27% - roof and several windows were damaged, 14% received extensive damage, and 3% of the houses were completely destroyed.
In the report, it is also said about the assistance that was provided to residents affected by the fighting. So, 263 houses were completely renovated, 72 - rebuilt, and about 4 thousand apartment buildings received light and medium repair.
"It is about the money of international donors without the fund-raising from the Ukrainian budget. It is clear that basically, people have no one else to rely on, except on our international partners. In fact, there is no care from the state," Natalya Veselova explained numbers from the report.
The international community also notes that the number of cases the residence of military men in abandoned houses in the cold season grows.
In particular, this applies to Avdiivka, Luhansk, Marinka, Stanytsia Luhanska, Zaitsevo. This provokes repeated bombardments of houses that were already damaged in 2015, and in some cases even houses that have already been repaired.
