In the occupied Donetsk, in the palace «Youth», which was destroyed in a result of shelling in 2014, children's and youth creative teams continue their work.
In the past, palace «Youth» was one of the largest concert venues in the city, but today it has turned into a ghost building in the center of the occupied Donetsk, according to a local group «Donetsk city streets».
The photos published on the network show that the building is badly damaged, almost all the windows are broken. The palace is covered with a fabric that hides the destruction, with some of the windows filled with plywood.
In the comments to the photographs, it is reported that in the palace «Youth» for the fifth year there is no heating, and the premises are flooded during the rains. But at the same time, children and youth groups, including theater studio, continue their work.
About a month ago, the occupying authorities of CDDR recalled the existence of a youth palace — they said that «Youth» would be renamed in honor of the Russian singer Joseph Kobzon, who died in late August. It was noted that the renaming will take place only after restoration work, which, according to preliminary estimates, will cost about 250 million rubles. The militants have not begun a money allocation for repair of the youth palace.
