Detective about the War in Donbas Was Selected for Participation in the London International Film Festival

The film «Call Sign „Banderas“» (Pozivniy «Banderas») will take part in the International Film Festival in London.

Created with the support of the Ukrainian State Film Agency film «Call Sign «Banderas» will compete for the victory at the London IFF 2019 in three nominations: «Best Foreign Language Film», «Best Cinematography in a Foreign Language Film» and «Best Lead Actor in a Foreign Language Film». It was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian State Film Agency.

It is noted that the project of the war detective from Tri-Ya-Da Production Company became one of the winners of the Ninth Selection Competition of the Ukrainian State Film Agency and received 19 million 565 thousand hryvnias of state financing (50% of the total cost of production of the tape).

«Call Sign «Banderas» tells about a group of Ukrainian counterintelligence fighters who in the autumn of 2014 are trying to prevent sabotage in the ATO zone. The director of the film is Zaza Buadze, the script is written by Serhiy Dzyuba together with Artemii Kirsanov, based on the ATO participant Sergei Bashkov’s diaries and the stories of the ATO soldiers. Operator-director — Oleksandr Zemlyaniy, the main role in the tape was performed by Oleh Shulga.
