Consultants of the European Investment Bank selected 99 projects for the development and restoration of the Donetsk region for a total of 1.3 billion hryvnias.
The projects will be financed within the framework of the "Extraordinary credit program for the restoration of Ukraine," IA "Vchasno" reports.
This program is implemented in 5 regions of Ukraine, and the total fund is 200 million hryvnias.
In the first tranche, 44 projects for the amount of UAH 245.3 million have already been implemented in the Donetsk region, Pavel Zhebrivsky, the head of the Donetsk region, said.
Repairs of kindergartens, schools, hospitals, boiler houses and hostels for internally displaced persons are mainly financed by the program.
Also, Zhebrivsky noted that in the past the region's leadership formed a list of 500 projects worth 5 billion hryvnias, which they expect to realize on the account of the second tranche. At the moment, the bank's consultants have already selected 99 projects from this list.
The head of the region also said that at the moment a list of 185 projects is being prepared, which includes the reconstruction of important infrastructure facilities - water supply, water disposal, heat supply. Also, the list of projects of major repairs of administrative buildings, in which the so-called "social offices" are located, was included.
