The Detained Russian Colonel Owns Valuable Data on the Seizure of the Donbass

The detained Russian colonel Valery Gratov will become a source of important information about Russia's actions in the Crimea and the Donbas.

An adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko wrote about this on his page on Facebook, IA "Vchasno" reports. He noted that the operation to detain a dangerous terrorist, in particular, drawing him to Ukraine, lasted more than six months.

"He is a very valuable source of information about the actions of Russian special services to capture the Crimea and the failed operation of the "Russian Spring" in the Donbass," Gerashchenko stressed.

As reported, Gratov was caught during an attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine with the self-proclaimed Pridnestrovie, when he tried to use his fake passport.

Military correspondent Andrei Tsaplienko on his Facebook page told that Gratov (call sign "Sanych") was a friend of the leader of the "DNR" Alexander Zakharchenko and the fighters "Givi" and "Motorola." Fake Ukrainian passport addressed to Valery Voitenko was found during Gratov’s detention.

Gratov had phones of the leaders of Pridnestrovie, video of the shooting of Ukrainian positions in the Donbass and joint photos with the leaders of the terrorists of the "DNR".
