In Zaporizhzhia, a series of trainings for psychologists, dog handlers and their animals for the purpose of using specially trained dogs for post-traumatic rehabilitation of victims in the east of Ukraine. It was reported by the press office of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ukraine.

A series of trainings bring together specialists, volunteers from the Emergency and Psychosocial Service, as well as 40 Ukrainian psychologists.
According to the UN, as a result of the conflict in the east of Ukraine from the post-traumatic syndrome suffer, primarily, internally displaced persons. In many countries, the use of therapeutic dogs is the norm because of the positive effects in post-traumatic rehabilitation. In Ukraine, the use of dogs for therapeutic purposes remains, for the most part, unknown.
The event is implemented by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) on behalf of the Federal Government.
