Because of the fighting in 2014, residents of the eight-apartment building in Mykolaivka were left without housing. Money was allocated for the restoration of the house, but even to meet the deadline, three years later people can’t settle in their apartments, IA "Vchasno" reports.
A two-story house along Sinetskiy Street, 22 in Mykolaivka, suffered more than other housing facilities. A gas pipe caught fire from a direct hit of two shells into the building, and an old wooden bricked house completely burnt out.
Without housing, there were eight families, - fortunately, none of them seriously suffered. Some families settled in the hostel, the rest began to live in rented apartments.
In the village of Mykolaivka (near Slaviansk, the Donetsk region) which suffered from the war, an apartment building has not yet been restored.Money for restoring was finally found last year. They were allocated in the framework of the subventions that Donetsk region received from the state budget - subventions were redistributed from the temporarily occupied territory. A little more than 6.4 million USD was the cost of reconstruction of the house, although, in fact, it was necessary to build a new house.
Works on the site began in March 2017.
It was planned to complete it by the end of August, the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Pavel Zhebrivskiy, wrote on his Facebook page in April, but the house was not put into exploitation in the promised terms.
According to contractors working at the facility, it was impossible to keep within the deadlines due to problems with the delivery of construction materials. Contractors claim that in the region there are no enterprises for the production of building materials, so they have to be ordered in different regions of Ukraine, and because of this, the planned course of construction is disrupted.
The customer of the works is Donetsk Regional State Administration, mayor of Mykolaivka Elena Tsykunova, said and the city does not affect the acceleration of work. On the information plate placed on the fence of the construction site, the completion dates have been changed.
Instead of August, a new period has now been specified, stretched over time - the fourth quarter of this year. According to Elena Tsykunova, it is difficult to predict whether the house will be delivered by the new year.
80-year-old Grigoriy Buzivskoy every day on several times comes to see how the construction is progressing.80-year-old Grigoriy Buzivskoy every day on several times comes to see how the construction is progressing. Together with his wife, Liliya Germanovna, he lost an apartment where they lived for more than 50 years.
"Two shells flew down in the house on July 3, 2014, at 16.05. The wife then walked in the street, I read a newspaper at home. When it banged, just went out on the street and saw fire and smoke - the neighboring staircase was burning from a broken gas pipe. I did not have time to take all the documents because everything was in the smoke, was afraid to suffocate. At seven o'clock in the evening the house completely burnt down", - Grigoriy Grigorievich recalls.
Pensioners lost everything, even with clothing they were helped by indifferent local residents. Four months ago, through Kiev, the families of the ruined house achieved the status of internally displaced persons. But social payments will start only by December of this year.
The Buzovskoy family is looking forward to return home, they tired to live in a rented apartment, since they have to pay rent to the hostess in addition to the utility bills.
Grigoriy Grigorievich worries that the work is idle. He learned from the builders that there are not enough seven channels to complete the roof. "Now the rains will begin and the flats will be poured, but the work has already been completed in part", - the man worried.
