French People Support the Introduction of "Blue Helmets" to the Donetsk Region and Are Ready to Invest in the Economy of the Region

A week before the next meeting of the UN General Assembly, which will include the issue of Ukraine, senators from France, representatives of the friendship group “France-Ukraine” visited the Donetsk region.

In addition to meetings in Kiev with the leadership of the country during a four-day visit, the French parliamentarians managed to visit the frontline Avdiivka and the control point of entry "Majorsk", IA “Vchasno” reports.

The French senators did not have the opportunity to communicate with ordinary people, but they watched for a long time the process of crossing the line of contact.

"It was terrible", the foreigners noted.

"We support the idea of introducing of "blue helmets" to the east of Ukraine, but we emphasize that this should be a decision from the UN. The position of France has not yet been officially approved regarding this resolution, but our goal is to end the conflict in the East of Ukraine", the head of the delegation, Senator Herve Moray, who heads the France-Ukraine friendship group, said.

In addition to discussing the issues of resolving the conflict, the parties paid attention to the prospects of the development of the region. The head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Pavel Zhebrivskiy suggested French businesses to invest in the region's economy, which the senators took positively and intend to bring the position to colleagues in parliament and government.
