The German government continues to provide financial support to the east of Ukraine. This was stated on the Twitter page by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
«The signal in support of our country was the decision of the German government to allocate an additional of almost 85 million euros, which in particular will be directed to the construction of premises for internally displaced persons and the development of social infrastructure in eastern Ukraine,» Poroshenko wrote.
Earlier it became known that the German Government continued financial support for the humanitarian measures of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Ukraine: this year, it will provide 1.8 million euros, and by 2020 and 2021, an additional 4 million euro is foreseen.
This project focuses on eastern Ukraine and assists victims of conflict on both sides of the contact line in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, in particular internally displaced persons and families in the cities and villages that have sheltered them.
