When it became clear that it was too early to think about returning to Donetsk, Sergei, along with his sister and parents, devoted himself to farming, IA "Vchasno" reports.
Moreover, it is not possible to find work in the village of Stepanovka. His family grows quails and chickens, began to keep the apiary and they are preparing to grow garlic.
The family has a plot of land, but it is too small for growing wheat or corn, and for garlic just enough, - with such reflections, Sergei applied for participation in the regional contest "Ukrainian Donetsk Kurkul". The guy went through the competitive selection at the regional commission, received confirmation of co-financing from the budget of Aleksandrovsky district and concluded a grant agreement with Donetsk Regional State Administration.
It should be reminded, in Donetsk region earlier the program of support of small business " Ukrainian Donetsk Kurkul " has started. From the regional budget, it is planned to allocate mini-grants for the implementation of new projects and arrangement of workplaces.
The amount of the grant is 213 thousand hryvnias (7,9 thousand dollars). This money is enough to buy equipment - a mini-tractor with attachments and a trailer. In late October, Sergei will plant garlic, and in the next season will collect the first harvest.
The business project of Sergej Kaidash assumes employment of the seasonal worker. Additional hands will be needed in the spring for weeding, trimming arrows and auxiliary works on the site.
"My distant relative, who also lives in the Aleksandrovsky district, has long been growing garlic. In order to increase volumes, we are ready to cooperate, we will sell the harvest together”- a young "kurkul" says about the sale of grown products.
