Stas Aseev was captured by militants in early summer and is accused of espionage.
The Ukrainian side has succeeded in including a captive journalist in the lists for exchange, but now the occupation authorities of CDDLR refuse to change Aseev, former People's Deputy and Stas Aseev’s friend Egor Firsov said.
According to Egor Firsov, the exchange of prisoners must take place before the New Year, and the Ukrainian side demands the extradition of 94 hostages, while the militants are ready to give only 74 prisoners.
"Among those whom they do not want to change there is the name of Stas Aseev, - Egor Firsov wrote in the social network. - The side of the "DNR" is extremely hostile towards Stas, they acknowledge the fact of his imprisonment, but they refuse to exchange. Our informal negotiations did not bring any result".
Journalist and blogger Denis Kazansky confirmed this information, adding that it is not final, and work on the release of Stas Aseev is being done.
"There will be several exchanges and in the list for the first exchange, which will take place in the near future, there is really no Stas Aseev, - Denis Kazansky told reporters of IA "Vchasno". - But this information is not final and it is quite possible that in the near future the situation will change".
