In the course of accomplishing the tasks of clearing the territories from explosive remnants, the demining group of the Mine Action Center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the vicinity of the settlement Slavyansk (Mayaki) detected and neutralized 207 explosive items.
During demining, sappers found the remains of dead soldiers of the Second World War: one soldier of the Wehrmacht and six soldiers of the Soviet Army of the period of 1943, the press center of the headquarters of the ATO reports.
In general, the demining groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the pyrotechnical calculations of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine cleared more than 29 hectares of land in July, about 14 kilometers of roads were inspected, about 600 explosive remnants were found and destroyed.
