PHOTOS. 33 Prisoners Were Transferred from Occupied Donbas to Ukraine
Today, the occupying authorities of the Luhansk region handed over to the Ukrainian side convicts who expressed a desire to serve their sentences in the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities.
In total, 33 people were transferred to the Ukrainian side, Lyudmyla Denysova, Verkhovna Rada authorized representative for human rights, told on her Facebook page.
According to Lyudmyla Denysova, the militants also transferred the criminal cases of the convicts. The transfer took place near the town of Happiness in the Luhansk region.
Lyudmila Denysova noted that this is the second transfer of prisoners from the territory of the occupied Luhansk region — in December last year, the Ukrainian side took away 42 prisoners, 12 of whom had already been released due to the departure of their sentence.
