PHOTOS. Hospitals in the ATO Zone Received Medicines for Half a Million Hryvnias from Ukrainians in America

IA Vchasno reports, that with the assistance of Eleos-Ukraine, medicines were sent to the hospitals of Mariupol, Chasiv Yar and Severodonetsk.

The 61st military mobile hospital in Mariupol received medicines amounting to over 80 thousand hryvnias. Electrocardiographs, air sterilizers, medical aspirators, as well as clothes for the needs of the wounded soldiers arrived.

As reported by the head of the hospital, Alexander Perestyuk, all the help that was sent will be distributed among the medical teams that serve in the ATO zone.

"We had a need for this equipment, that's why such help is very necessary and useful for our team and the wounded," Alexander Perestyuk said.

Medicines and equipment could be bought thanks to the help that came from the parishes of the Kyiv Patriarchate in the United States. Also, pharmaceutical companies, who donated a significant portion of the medication joined in. Before the medicines for the military hospitals went to the Donbass, the package was consecrated by the Patriarch of the UOC-KP Philaret.

"We consecrated medicines that are sent to hospitals in the Donbas and are intended for the military, who were wounded, while defending our Motherland, as well as for those people who suffer from diseases while in the Donbass," the Patriarch said. "Let our soldiers remember that the church not only prays every day but also provides real help not only with medicines but with all necessary."
