PHOTOS. «Water of Donbas» Received from the Government of Japan the Newest Transport for 311 Thousand Dollars

Today in Pokrovsk there was a ceremony of transfer of specialized repair vehicles and personal protective equipment for the communal enterprise «Company «Water of Donbas», NA «Vchasno» reports.

Two Special KRAZs with the total value of 311 thousand dollars and 20 firearms and helmets were received by the company from the Government of Japan with the support of UNICEF and UNOPS.

«It is my first visit to Donbas from the beginning of my work in Ukraine as Ambassador. „Water of Donbas“ plays a critical role in ensuring the water supply of Donbas on both sides of the contact line. We highly appreciate the work of the company's employees who often sacrifice their lives for the sake of constant water supply,» Takashi Karai, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine said.

He noted that since 2014, in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Japan has provided assistance for $ 47 million.

«Water — the most important condition for the existence of people in any territory. At the moment, we have some difficulties, but we overcome them, and I hope that we can still provide the residents of the Donetsk region with drinking and technical water in a stable manner. Those conditions, in which „Water of Donbas“ and the workers of the company, which carry out their duties, now deserve high respect», — Oleksandr Kuts, the chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, said during the event.

Transport contains a lot of useful equipment for the company's employees, such as a workbench, a pump for water pumping, a generator for autonomous work and a lot of additional equipment. Their presence will provide more effective and safe work of «water heroes».

«The technique is very useful for us, the equipment is appropriate and the power supply is a self-contained and fully user-friendly machine. On cars, as on SUVs, you can ride off-road. And since we have off-roads almost everywhere, but people constantly need to go for repairs, it is very useful,» said Victor Marin, a locksmith-repair technician of «Water of Donbas».
