The attitude of the residents of Mariupol to state and public organizations changed significantly for three years.

According to the sociological group “Rating”, the Mariupol residents approve most of all the activities of public organizations - 43%, of the Ukrainian army - 36% and of the police - 33%.

Compared to 2016, the confidence in law enforcement agencies increased - 37% of residents felt safe in the past year, and in 2017 - 41%.

Sociologists assert that the inhabitants of the front-line Mariupol feel as safe as residents in the peaceful Dnipro, Lutsk, Cherkassy and Sumy.

The Mariupol residents trust least to the prosecutors – only 13%, and to the judicial system – 12%.

The research was conducted by the group “Rating” on behalf of the International Republican Institute.
