eBay Will Remove from Sale Products with Donbas Militants Symbolics
The fact that the international trading platforms eBay and Amazon sell products with the symbols of Donbas militants was reported by the Minister of Healthcare Ulana Suprun about a month ago. Immediately after this, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Valeriy Chaly approached the company management with a call to stop the sale of goods, which have emblems of terrorist organizations.
The embassy received an official response from the head of eBay Inc., which states that the company will do everything necessary to ensure that products with «LDNR» symbols are no longer sold on the eBay website. At the same time, eBay noted that the «LDNR» is included in the US and EU sanctions list, and the money raised from the sale of goods with their symbols could be used to fund militants.
At the same time, the official reaction of Amazon Inc. to what is happening has not yet followed. The embassy noted that they expect a similar reaction from Amazon — that the marketplace would remove products with Donetsk militants symbolic from its website.
