VIDEO. Residents of the Front-Line Krasnogorivka and Marinka Spend Winters with the Support of the Vatican City

Pope Francis helps the residents of the front-line zone in the Donetsk region to survive the winter for the second year.

The residents of Krasnogorivka and Marinka for the third year remain without gas supply, IA “Vchasno” reports.

To help affected people survive the winter, the “Emmanuel” association, in cooperation with the Charity Fund “The Pope for Ukraine” Initiative, organized a large-scale project on the installation of solid fuel boilers in the homes of local residents.

In 2017, volunteers installed about 800 boilers in Marinka and Krasnogorivka. This winter, with the support of Pope Francis, 630 households will be converted with autonomous heating.

"We see that the attention to the problems of Ukraine in the world arena is weakening, but this does not mean that the war has ended here and that people no longer suffer, - Eduard Kava, Assistant Bishop of the Lviv Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine says. - It is important that people here understand - they are not alone and we know about their problems."
